This
section will show teachers how effective digital learning
products will be based upon good INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
and address learning theory, objectives, implementation,
& assessment. Content in classroom environments
needs to be structured in highly specific ways in order
to be considered instructionally useful. Content without
this structure will need to receive supplementary treatment
from the teacher in order to be used appropriately.
Effective digital resources can be "classroom ready"
by addressing standard instructional design issues.
In some products, this design will be built into the
actual resource. In situations where content is being
"prepared" to enter the classroom environment,
this structure can be provided through supplementary
materials such as Teacher’s Guides" or Unit/Lesson
Plans. The Instructional Design framework will offer
the teacher information regarding:
-
Learning Theory & Approach
- Concept Overviews
- Learning Outcomes
- Resources
- Lesson Preparation
- Instructional Procedure
- Extended Activities & Exploration
- Assessment & Remediation
