This
section will show teachers how effective digital learning
products will include the opportunity for students to
take active control over learning sequences through
a variety of interactive interfaces and mechanisms.
Digital programs can offer experiences which are "interactive."
Genuine interactive experience places the user in a
position of having to make correct decisions based on
the operation of virtual mechanisms related to those
decisions. The most effective way of doing this is to
provide experiential or game-based approaches to the
learning situation.
Interfaces should allow for easy control, exciting activity,
reward, feedback, and remediation. Simulation events
will also be seen to be effective in placing the user
in the decision-making mode with availability to individual
sequencing control.
