VANCOUVER COMPANY LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE CD-ROM SPACE SIMULATION SERIES CREATED IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE U.S. SPACE & ROCKET CENTER, NASA, AND THE CANADIAN SPACE AGENCY

Vancouver, September 19, 2002 - ETI Entertainment Technologies Inc., in association with Ingenuity Works Inc., is pleased to announce the Canadian launch of their PC-based Space Simulation Series. LIFTOFF, the first product in the five part Series, was released today at the opening celebration of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre International Space Station Trailer Exhibit. Special guests at the launch included the Honourable Allan Rock, Minister of Industry, Ralph Bryson, Vice President of Aerospace, US Space and Rocket Center; Julie Ferriss, Director of Education from the U.S. Space Camp; and representatives from NASA and the Canadian Space Agency.

LIFTOFF was developed with the assistance of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, NASA and the Canadian Space Agency, and is designed for both home and educational markets.

Imagine being in the commander's seat of one of the most powerful vehicles ever conceived - The Space Shuttle. Every detail matches real-world NASA procedures and timelines. LIFTOFF contains astronaut style training, a realistic shuttle simulation, a complete 3D tour of the Shuttle and a history of space exploration, featuring Canada's major role.

Future products in the Series will feature innovative technologies (including a micro-gravity physics engine and "world-within-world" 3D), Artificial Intelligence and Collaborative Teamplay concepts. ETI's long-term goal is to incorporate elements of problem solving and role-playing game simulation into the learning environment.

LIFTOFF features comprehensive resource materials for teachers, based on Canadian and U.S. national standards for science and technology.

LIFTOFF, available in Canada in both English and French, will be retailed at science centres, major software retailers and through Ingenuity Works e-commerce site. In the U.S., LIFTOFF will be sold in association with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, home of U.S. Space Camp. It will also be available through NASA's visitor centers at its major sites - Kennedy Space Center, Space Center Houston, and US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, which attract over three million visitors per year.

A teachers' presentation of LIFTOFF, with guest speaker Julie Ferriss, Director of Education, US Space Camp, and a showing of the CN IMAX Space Station 3D, will take place on Saturday, September 21 at the CN IMAX Theatre, Canada Place at 10:00 am.

Telefilm Canada, The Telus BC New Media Fund and Industry Canada provided funding for the project.
